If you're not sure what this refers too. Think of a swarm of space going wasps, with weapons, and a true hive mind. Since no single unit is key to the operation of the whole, you would have to destroy all of them.

Who can tell I'm that bored. I can only read for so many hours a night and as long as nothing breaks, I have nothing to do for 12+ hours a night. Speaking of Sun-Sat= 78hrs this week. Woot! Good thing I have two more books to read.

Way to go Drudge, you fucking idiot. Endangering a whole unit of soldiers for a story. I really hope the government goes after you for aiding the enemy, because thats exactly what you did. You provided personal information about coalition/NATO troops to the enemy in Afghanistan.

Today marks two months without nicotine in some form. Past the habitual want phase and now just really want a dip when I'm changing shifts every two days from nights to days and then back again.

[info]fenriss put up a list of 5 places that help  make the day  bearable(or at least favs for wasting time)

The following present at least some value outside of wasting time:
http://www.theregister.co.uk/    - Slashdot, but funny. BOFH(Bastard Operator From Hell) is the best section
http://www.boingboing.net/      - Random Crap
http://www.ohgizmo.com/         - toys
http://smallwarsjournal.com/index.php  - Think about what I did and currently do for a living
http://www.penny-arcade.com/  - because they understand

Comics-
http://www.userfriendly.org/    - A must if you have anything to do with computers
http://www.lfgcomic.com/page/1   - Looking For Group,  If you ever played an MMO or even just roleplaying
http://www.twolumps.net/
http://www.comics.com/comics/getfuzzy/index.html

plus every science page you can probably mention. Left out forums I frequent, like my WoW guild or the Rawstory forums where I go to fan flame wars.
Got to do something to amuse yourself as a Sys Admin besides remote into people's machines and start typing into the Word document they're working on.

The more time the left and right spend attacking McCain, the more I want to vote for him. If the idiots on both sides hate him so much he must be doing something right.

Since I'm on the road I have access to cable tv again.
Everyday this week on cnn they keep airing the Glen Beck episode that has the title "Liberalism & Fascism". Apparently the cartoon Captain Planet is an example of totalitarian propoganda. WTF?
This is CNN, how is this fucking news? Hour after hour of warped circular logic equating everything and everyone, that they chose to label a progressive, to fascism. Granted, Glen Back is just a polished version of Limbaugh, but still. I love when they use the word 'facts' and how a book by some guy from a conservative think tank is the definitive text.
Granted, I don't like the PC 'thought police' that the Left seems to breed, but the lines they are trying to equate make absolutely now logical sense.
Dumbfounded.

Figures I come down with the Crud right before going on the road for three weeks. Feels like a gargled bleach and broken glass; and then filled my head with Gorilla Glue. I'm going to be so fun for my 14 hrs of commuting.
Yes, thats right! I could almost drive there for the amount of time American Airlines has me flying there. It should not take from 9am to 11 pm to go from KC to Harrisburg, PA.

I would go back to AQ for a year to take his call. I know the exact type of caller he'd be. "Four people started a thread on the site so this must be major."

After the craptacular week I've had I came into work this morning and checked my email. In there was a notification that I had won a chance to create one of these.

The tabletop miniature player in me wants to squeal. Plus its a 3-d printer. The added geek factor is the guy who makes them is an ex Microsoft VP.

Shit, I do this every time I go on the road or go into my switch room here(shudders).
Of course some guy named Alexander supposedly came up with the fastest solution to this.
